No happy ends for the western European teams....

Lots of people already had decided who the favourites will be (men: Holland, Russia; women Germany). But that was before the very exciting semi finals were played.

The Dutch and the Bulgarian were said to be the underdogs, but they were ready to give everything. The semi final matches were: Holland vs Ukraine and Bulgaria vs Russia. The Dutch fans were very excited, but even so the Dutch team lost the game against the Ukraine. After the matches were over, Holland and Bulgaria suffered from a tough defeat from the east European countries.

The last game, the men final will be played on Sunday between the Russian and the physically a bit stronger Ukrainian.

The very quick Russian women walked through to the final without any troubles. At no time, they struggled against the Danish.

Bad luck for the Danish because they suffered from some severe losses because of injured players.

The SGSV-FSSS can look back on a very successfull EC-futsal, a nice birthday present for their 80 years anniversary. But without  the many people helping, taking time off to work as staff, the event wouldn't have bee such a success.

The head of the organising committee told the staff: "You did a great job!"
